SHEERGARD™ M15-OS

M15-OS a SHEERGARD™ microwave transmissive composite designed specifically for use in RF applications. The composite is made of fiberglass fibers and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) matrix. The “M” group incorporates a flat, plain weave in the structural substrate. M15-OS is a one-sided coated product used specifically for pre-tensioned planar radomes and antenna covers, within the temperature range of -100°F to +300°F.

SHEERGARD® M26

M26 is a SHEERGARD® microwave transmissive composite designed specifically for use in RF applications. The composite is made of fiberglass fibers and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) matrix. The “M” group incorporates a flat, plain weave in the structural substrate. M26 is available in 158 inches, making it a popular choice for one-piece planar radomes

SHEERGARD® M26-OS

M26-OS is a SHEERGARD microwave transmissive composite designed specifically for use in RF applications. The composite is made of fiberglass fibers and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) matrix. The “M” group incorporates a flat, plain weave in the structural substrate. M26-OS is a one-sided coated product used specifically for pre-tensioned planar radomes and antenna covers, within the temperature range of -100°F to +300°F.

SHEERGARD® SX-12

SX-12 is a SHEERGARD® material with a 3 layer construction and 2 barrier films designed for use in RF applications. The composite is made high strength aramid fibers (Kevlar®) and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) matrix. These combine to give a lightweight, highly flexible and tear resistant weave, which is fully protected by its chemically impermeable outer layers. SX-12 exhibits very low dielectric constants and loss tangents as well as excellent hydrophobic properties.

SHEERGARD® K40C

K40C is a SHEERGARD® microwave transmissive composite designed specifically for use in RF applications. The composite is made high strength aramid fibers (Kevlar®) and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) matrix. The “K” group incorporates aramid yarns in a 2x2 basket weave for enhanced flexural characteristics and high tear strength.

SHEERGARD® Q65C

Q65C is a SHEERGARD® microwave transmissive composite designed specifically for use in RF applications. Its quadri-axial, multi-ply, laminated construction provides superior dimensional stability even in the most extreme environments.

The SHEERGARD™ family of microwave transmissive PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) Teflon™ composites combines PTFE with specially woven structural fabrics that utilize fiberglass, aramid (Kevlar®) and similar high strength, high temperature resistant yarns. Our composite fabrics are supplied as precut pieces sized to the customer’s needs. These materials can also be supplied with any required mounting holes.

SHEERGARD incorporates vertical integration of all elements in the composite manufacturing process including yarn twisting
and weaving, polymer coating, casting and lamination.
