Saint-Gobain Invests in Enhanced RF Capabilities for Aerospace Radomes

SAINT-GOBAIN is excited to announce that we have expanded our RF testing capability with the installation of a new test range for Satcom radomes. The new equipment enables fast, high accuracy transmission testing of Satcom radomes. Capable of measuring both linear and circular polarization, the new range also enables comprehensive radome test and design for phased array and other next generation antenna technologies.

The new test range is co-located with Saint-Gobain's anechoic test chamber at our radome design and manufacturing Center of Excellence in Ohio. The specialized capabilities of the anechoic range allow for accurate and comprehensive testing of radomes for weather radar and special mission applications. Key features include unique test fixtures that are installed as they would be on the aircraft for the truest simulation performance as well as a dual-axis antenna gimbal system which allows for extensive testing of the entire radome structure and antenna scanning applications.
